Seniors Patrol - The Kingstree Police Department is offering a seniors patrol wellness check. Performance - The University of South Carolina Chamber Orchestra is an elite auditioned group of talented graduate and undergraduate students who have a passion for collaborative music making. Chamber music performances are coached by the USC faculty members; however, it is the students who are the stars of the show. Many of these musicians play in orchestras across the state and also perform in the larger USC Symphony Orchestra. This is your opportunity to hear the performers of tomorrow. Parade - The Town of Kingstree will host its annual Christmas parade at 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13. The parade theme is “A Night Before Christmas.” The parade will feature local bands, dance groups, floats, and organizations. The Christmas Tree Lighting will take place immediately following the parade in Welch's Park on North Academy Street. Annual Tea - St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church Women's Missionary Society will host its annual Tea on Sunday, November 10, at 3:30 p.m. This year's theme is “Men on a Mission,” hearing from the men of St. James, who will share inspirational words of encouragement. The church is located at 6708 Santee Rd., Lane. Nativity Display - Lake City United Methodist Church, 229 W. Main Street, Lake City, will have the Joy of the Manger Nativity Display on November 8 and November 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and November 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candlelight Tour - A Candlelight Tour of Historic Lake City will be held Sunday, December 8, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., a holiday tour featuring Lake City's most beautiful homes and architecture. Main St., Kingstree, eat-in or take-out. Turkey Shoot - The R.A.G.E. Youth Group of Sandy Bay P.H. Church will hold a Turkey Shoot on Saturday, November 16, and on Saturday, November 23, from 6 p.m. until. The event will be held on the ball field directly behind the church and youth building located at 188 Delos Road, Kingstree. Food and homemade desserts will be available. All proceeds go towards the Youth Belize Mission Trip scheduled for July, 2014. Come out and support our youth as they work to help spread the gospel in the country of Belize.
