Deloris Reed-Montgomery, Pineville

Funeral services for Mrs. Deloris Susan “Sue” Milligan Reed-Montgomery, conducted by the Rev. Benjamin Milligan and the Rev. Joshua Prioleau, were held Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at Redeemer Reformed Episcopal Church of Pineville. Mrs. Reed-Montgomery died Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She was born February 9, 1938, in Pineville, the daughter of the late Relius and Carrie Waring Milligan. She was educated in the Berkeley County School System, graduating in 1956. She was a member of Day Dawn Baptist Church. After graduating high school, Deloris moved to New York, where she married her first husband, the late James E. Reed, Sr. Survivors are: her husband, Solomon Montgomery; six children, James Reed, Jr. (Pamela) and Anthony Reed (Botsitse), both of New York, New York; Jeffrey Reed (Deborah) of Ohio; Gwendolyn Gladden (Aaron) of Summerville; Gregory Reed (Kimberly) and Sean Reed (Shirelle), both of New York, New York; five stepchildren, Solomon Montgomery, Jr. (Kathy) of Maryland; Scharin Montgomery-Moore (Robert) of New Mexico; Wilbur Montgomery and Marvin Montgomery, both of Moncks Corner; and Hubert Montgomery of Seattle, Washington; three sisters, Juanita White and Emaline White (Paul), both of St. Stephen; and Elizabeth Jenkins (James) of Pineville; one brother, Andrew Milligan (Queen) of Pineville; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
