Noonday Prayer - St. Paul United Methodist Church, 3733 Thurgood Marshall Hwy., Kingstree, will be open for noonday prayer on Wednesdays. We invite anyone who wants to come in and spend time with God to stop by and pray as long as they would like. 
The church will open at 12 p.m. and remain open until after Bible Study at 6 p.m.  All are welcome to share in our Bible Study as well.
 
Program - Lady Christ-N-Ty Youth Ministry sponsors youth programs every second Sunday of the month. If you are looking for youth to come to your church to perform praise dancing and singing, lifting the name of Jesus. For more information contact TeaTon at ladychrist_n_ty@yahoo. com.
 
Services - The Church of God and True Holiness, 1185 Thorne Avenue, Kingstree,  invites everyone to join us in our weekly services. Services are 1st and 3rd Sundays at 9 a.m. with Sunday School and Praise service at 10 a.m. Praise/Worship on 1st and 3rd Tuesdays and Bible study every 2nd and 4th Sundays and Thursday nights at True Holiness Church of Deliverance II, 229 N. McQueen St., Florence. Apostle James A. Pratt, Jr. is the pastor.
 
Activities - Christ “N” Me Youth Outfield Ministry activities will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Throw and catch, puzzles, games, singing, and dancing and so much more. Refreshments will be served. Pick-up and drop-off are available.
 
Yard Sale - Corrie House Garments of Grace Ministries of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, located at the end of Sandy Bay Rd., will have an indoor yard sale every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
 
Youth Ministry - Lady Christ-Is-Ty Youth Ministry will be ministering at Interfaith Project Park in Kingstree every Saturday from 4 p.m. until.  There will be singing and praise dancing.

Donations - A family of six lost everything they owed in a house fire recently. We are asking the community to make monetary donations or drop off clothing at The News or Longstreet Chevrolet. The clothes sizes needed are: Women’s - shirt L/XL and 30/32; pants 15/16 and 26; shoes 9 1/2 to 10 and 13 Men’s - Medium/large, large, and 3XL; pants 34, 36, and 42; shoes 8 1/2 to 9, 9 1/2, and 13 Boys’ - size 6/7 and shoes 12  kids.

Marriage Seminar - The 43rd Generation Ministries will have In This Together Marriage Seminar - Black Tie Affair on September 28, at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2671 Hospitality Blvd., Florence. The special guest will be recording artist Chris Bethel.

Teachings From The Ark - Teachings From The Ark announces the following events for the month of September. September 21, movie admission is $3, adults and $2, children with free refreshments at 11:30 a.m. Food pantry at 2 p.m. September 28, “Drug and Alcohol Seminar” All events start at 12 p.m. except movie and food pantry. Teachings From The Ark’s Food Pantry will be open to the public Saturday, September 21, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at 101 E. Main St., Kingstree. All recipients are required to show a current valid photo I.D. in order to receive commodities. No exceptions.
 
Fall Revival - Hebron Independent Church will host its 2013 Fall Revival from Sunday, September 15 through Wednesday, September 18. The Rev.Mike McKenzie, pastor of Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church will be preaching the evening services beginning at 7 pm. Pastor David Boos will preach the Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. Music will be provided by various church and community groups. Hebron Independent Church is located at 1424 Hebron Rd. Clothes Giveaway - Kingstree Church of Christ, 1288 Sumter Hwy., Kingstree, will have a clothes giveaway on Saturday, October 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
 
Family and Friends Day - Laurel Swamp Missionary Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Family and Friends Day Celebration on Sunday, September 22, at 4 p.m. The guest speaker will be Pastor Gilbert Dekine along with the St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church family of Lane. The public is cordially invited to attend. The church is located at 1120 Old Gapway Rd., Salters. The pastor is the Rev. Olin Dukes, Sr.
 
Service - Elder Darrett Nesbitt, a 1988 graduate of Lake City High School, will be  2013 LCHS Alumni speaker on Sunday, September 29. The service begins at  10:30 a.m.  at Wesley United Methodist Chapel Church, 112 Deep River Street, Lake City. Other guests include Craig Harrison ’87, Mary and The Creators, Keith Myers ’01, Tiffaney Nero-Wilson ‘2000, Justin Hanna ’02, LCHS Alumni Band and LCHS Alumni’s. Don’t be late for role call.
 
Prayer Breakfast - We are having our fifth “Prayer Warriors Celebration” at St. Paul AME Church, 8506 Hemingway Hwy., Kingstree. On Saturday, September 21, at 8:30 a.m., we will have a Prayer Breakfast. Our guest speaker will be Bro. Curtis E. Chandler from Church of God and True Holiness of Georgetown. On Sunday, September 22, at 4 p.m. we will celebrate God’s Word through Ministry in Prayer, songs and teaching. Our guest speaker will be Minister Quinton L. Graham, Asst. Pastor of True Word of Faith Worship Center. Presiding on Sunday will be Bro. Steven Barr of St. Paul AME Church-Kingstree. Presiding on Sunday will be Bro. Joe J. Cooper of St. Paul AME Church-Kingstree.
Music will be provided by Sandridge Believers Holiness Church, True Word of Faith Worship Center, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, St. Paul AME Church and Friendship United Methodist Church. Our ushers will be representatives from Hickory Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Elijah United Methodist Church, Friendship United Methodist Church, St. Paul AME Church, Sandridge Believers Holiness Church, and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
 
Screenings  -Nazareth AME Church-Choppee will have a free community health/wellness seminar focusing on dental health, hypertension, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS on September 28. Dr. Carrie Brown, DMD and Dr. Kwanza Devlin will be the featured speakers. Free breakfast will also be served. This event is sponsored by the Health Team.
