Funeral services for Ulysees Fulton, conducted by Elder Preston Keels, were held Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home.
Mr. Fulton died Tuesday, August 21, 2012. He was born October 24, 1961, in Williamsburg County, Greeleyville, the son of James Albert Johnson and Alcess Fulton. He was reared by his grandparents, the late Benjamin Fulton and Hattie Keels Fulton. He was a member of Promise Land Missionary Baptist Church of Greeleyville, where he was a member of the Young Adult Choir. He graduated in 1979 from C.E. Murray High School of Greeleyville.He then enrolled at Beaufort Technical College, presently known as the Technical College of the Low Country in Beaufort, where he received a Certificate of Welding. In 1981, he enlisted in the United States Navy, Company #212. He learned the skills of farming and carpentry under the instructions of his grandfather, Ben.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are: one son, Quinton McClary of Kingstree; two brothers, Eddie Fulton (Pauline) of Kingstree; and Maurice Fulton (Clara) of Columbia; one sister, Betty F. Matthews of Greeleyville; one stepbrother, Byron Jones (April) of Chicago, Illinois; one stepsister, Denise Jones Manuel of Beaufort; and three grandsons.
