Funeral services for Shawnta Nekia “Mookie” McFadden, conducted by Overseer Henry E. Dixon, were held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Ministries of Truth Tabernacle of Cordesville. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Greenlawn Cemetery. Miss McFadden died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Trident Medical Center in Moncks Corner. She was born September 22, 1980, in Charleston, a daughter of Mrs. Gail H. Butler (Willie) and Joe McFadden (Melaney). She completed her college education at Manhattan College in 2007, in Manhattan, New York. She was a member of Beulah Tabernacle of Prayer. Survivors, in addition to her parents, are: her siblings, La’Toya McFadden, Corenthia Howard, Tamika Gourdine, Marquell McFadden, and Michael McFadden; four step-siblings; her Godmother, Dr. Elaine Norton; five godchildren, Ky’na, Ty’ron, Yolonda, Ashan, and Adriena; and her grandmother, Pastor Mary Ann Daniels. Pallbearers were Samuel Warren, Julius Eadie, Tony Beddingfield, Al Brown, Dana Brown, and Christopher Brown.
