ROBERT GILES, II, ST. STEPEHNS

Funeral services for Robert “Lump” Giles, II, conducted by Bishop Clarence Fordham, were held Saturday, November 17, 2012, at First Calvary United Bible Church of Christ of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Tri Churches Cemetery. Mr. Giles died Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Roper Berkeley Hospital of Moncks Corner. He was born May 5, 1968, the son of Emma Giles and the late Robert Giles. He was a member of First Calvary Holiness Church of St. Stephen. He graduated from the public schools of Berkeley County. He also attended South Carolina State College of Orangeburg and Trident Technical College of Charleston, where he obtained an Associates Degree in Business. He was a member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He worked various types of jobs throughout his life. A sister, Willie Ruth Simmons, preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother, are: his stepfather, Alfred Major, Jr., two sisters, Wilma Giles and Linda Giles; one brother, Wendell Gamble (Tiffany Gamble).

Pallbearers were Frankie Spann, Frederick Theirse, Dino Gourdine, Jerome Rembert, Ronald Rembert, and Terell Jenkins.
