Funeral services for Ray-mateo DeJéan “Ray” Edwards, conducted by the Rev. Terry B. Law, were held Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Siloam Baptist Church of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at McCottry Cemetery of Kingstree. Mr. Edwards died Friday, November 16, 2012, at MUSC of Charleston. He was born July 12, 1985, in Williamsburg County, the son of Mamie Scott and the late Dultus Cooper. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. He was a construction worker and later became the entrepreneur of 261 Sparkle Car Wash. A sister, Kulia Edwards, preceded him in death. Survivors, in addition to his mother of the home, are: his stepfather, Joe Scott of the home; four children, Jade Scott, Mycheal Edwards, Raekwon and Sanaar McFarlin, all of Kingstree; two brothers, Joshua Edwards of the home; and John Luke McFadden of Florence; one sister, Tanisha Bufkin of Silver Spring, Maryland; and his grandfather, Sammie Richardson of Kingstree.

Pallbearers were Jackie White, Brandon Kinder, Brina McCrea, Lewis Keels, Hassan Moses, Quincy Darby, Billy Tisdale, and Kevin Miller.
