Patricia (Pat C.) Guerry McLaurin, 65, of Boone, North Carolina, and Chapin, died Monday, May 21, 2012. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at The Scottish Cemetery in Bethune, directed by Hampton Funeral and Cremation Service. Mrs. McLaurin was the daughter of the late Rachel and David Guerry, formerly of Kingstree. She was married to the late Arthur Porter McLaurin. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Master’s Degree in Education. She served as a teacher in Lexington County School District 5, for almost 30 years. Survivors are: one daughter, Ashley Guerry McLaurin of Boone, North Carolina; and one sister, Jean McDaniel (Ronnie) of Dothen, Alabama. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
