Mrs. Mary Jean Buddin Herbert, 86, widow of Frederick S. Herbert, Sr., died Monday, April 23, 2012, at Lake City Community Hospital. Graveside funeral services, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home, were held Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Williamsburg Cemetery. Mrs. Herbert was born in Kingstree, a daughter of John Butler and Emma Regina Kinder Buddin. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School, and for many years she was the society editor for The County Record and The Williamsburg Times. She was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. Survivors are: one son, Fred S. Herbert, Jr. (Patty) of Kingstree; one daughter, Jeanie H. Lane (Lloyd) of Kingstree; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 411 N. Academy Street, Kingstree, SC 29556.
