Janette Wilson Evans, 53, died Saturday, November 24, 2012, at Carolinas Hospital System of Florence. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Devon Wright, Sr., were held Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church of Cades. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Goodwill Freewill Baptist Church of Cades. Mrs. Evans was born August 20, 1959, in Florence County, a daughter of Dinah Wilson and the late John Wesley Wilson. A sister, Dorothy Elmore, preceded her in death. Survivors, in addition to her mother of Kingstree, are: her husband, Rickey D. Evans of the home; one daughter, Tina Singletary of Lake City; two sons, Dennis Lamont Evans (Aiyana) of Sacramento, California; and Rickey Ail Evans of Columbia, SC; five brothers, John Wilson and Sammie Wilson, both of Kingstree; Eugene Wilson (Shirley) of Olanta; Wesley Wilson (Pattie) of Myrtle Beach; and Ulysess Porter of Lake City; two sisters, Linda Simmons (Paul) of Augusta, Georgia; and Mary Cooper of Florence; and four grandchildren.
