Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Mae “Sister” Adams, conducted by Elder Johnny Prioleau  and Pastor Henry Dixon, were held Monday, May 14, 2012, at Believers Temple Church of God in Christ of St. Stephen. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at McClennon Memorial Cemetery of St. Stephen. Mrs. Adams died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, in Moncks Corner. She was born November 29, 1945, in Moncks Corner, the daughter of the late Richard and Ora Lee McClennon. She was a member of Beulah Tabernacle of Prayer Pentecostal Apostolic Church. She was educated in Berkeley County Schools. She was married to the late Albert Adams. She was a Foster Parent with the SC Youth Advocate Program. Two sons, Anthony and Gary, and one brother, Joseph, preceded her in death.

Survivors are: two sons, RoShaun M. Adams of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Javone M. Adams of the home; one brother, James Cleveland (Majorie) of St. Stephen; two surrogate daughters, Andrea Jefferson of Cross; and Avon Cooper (Donald) of St. Stephen; seven grandchildren; and a countless number of foster children. Pall bearers were Joseph Cleveland, Jr., Larentez Brown, Terry Wright, Julius Middleton, Pierre Beauford, and Nathaniel Starks.
