ELIZABETH CANADA, CAMDEN

A graveside funeral service for Elizabeth “Beth” Rowe Canada, conducted by the Rev. Steve Patterson, Jr. and the Rev. David Weaver, was held Monday, December 3, 2012, at Quaker Cemetery, directed by Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Mrs. Canada died Friday, November 30, 2012. She was born November 27, 1936, in Sumter, the daughter of the late Aletha “Tot” Walker Rowe and Carl O. Rowe. She was a member Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a graduate of Limestone College, and prior to her marriage, she taught in the Charleston area for several years. Survivors are: her husband, C.C. Canada; two sons, Carrington Shaw “Cash” Canada (Kimberly), and Walker Player Canada (Liz); one brother, Carl O. Rowe, Jr. (Diane); and one granddaughter. Memorials may be made to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020 or to Kershaw Health Hospice, 124 Battleship Road, Camden, SC 29020 or the charity of one’s choice-803-425-1916.
