Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” or “Sister” Lee Felder, conducted by the Rev. Billy Scott, were held Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Macedonia Baptist Church of Lane. Burial, directed by Redmond-Richardson Funeral Home, followed at Trinity Memorial Park of Lane. Mrs. Felder, 67, died Friday, February 15, 2013, at the Carolinas Hospital System of Florence. She was born May 6, 1945, in Williamsburg County, the daughter of the late Deacon Paul Bernie Lee and Annie Mae Harden Lee. She graduated from Williamsburg County Training School, presently known as C.E. Murray High School of Greeleyville in 1963. Later, she relocated to Brooklyn, New York, while there she worked several jobs as a receptionist. She was a member of Bridge Street AME Church, where she served on the Usher Board. Once she relocated back to Lane, she re-established her membership at Macedonia Baptist Church of Lane.
Survivors are: her husband, Jonathan Felder, Jr. of the home; two daughters, Eraina Oliver (Emmitt, Jr.) of Covington, Georgia; and Tonya Felder of Richmond, Virginia; one son, Jonathan Felder, III, of Brooklyn, New York; two adopted brothers, Elijah Maxwell of St. Stephen; and James Pasley (Elnora) of Lane; a Goddaughter, Tyheshia Shaw; a special mother figure, Caretha Wilson of Greeleyville; and seven grandchildren.
