Funeral services for David M. Supelveda, Jr., conducted by the Rev. James Lesesne, were held Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Peru Cemetery of St. Stephen. Mr. Supelveda died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, in St. Stephen. He was born June 9, 1988, a son of David M. Supelveda and Geraldine Supelveda. He attended the public schools of Berkeley County, St. Stephen Elementary and Timberland High School. Survivors, in addition to his parents, both of St. Stephen, are: five brothers, Lavagetto Supelveda, Isaiah Supelveda, and Desmond Maybank, all of St. Stephen; David Supelveda, II, of Brooklyn, New York; and Evan McLeod of North Carolina; five sisters, Keishonda Supelveda, Erica Maybank, Jasmine Maybank, and Noleta Supelveda, all of St. Stephen; and Janette Oliver; his fiancé, KaToya McCray of St. Stephen; his grandmothers, Marian L. Gourdine of St. Stephen; and Raula Paylor of New York; and his grandfathers, Willie Gourdine and Lavagetto Supelveda.
