Funeral services for Mrs. Corine Burroughs “Mrs. Bay Bay” McCrea Eaddy, conducted by Bishop Dr. Linwood Cooper and Elder Dr. Leroy Graham, were held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Believers Holiness Church Convention Center of Coward. Burial, directed by Pressley’s Funeral Home, followed at White Oak Cemetery of Lake City. Mrs. Eaddy died Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Florence Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility of Florence. She was born October 15, 1935, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Marcus and Queen Burroughs Barr. She received her high school diploma from Tomlinson High School. He was a member of Trinity Holiness Church, where she served for over 40 years. She was affiliated with Trinity Believers Holiness Pastor’s Aide Committee. She also served as president of the Kitchen Committee of the Believers Holiness Convention Conference, Trinity Pastor’s Aide Advisor of the Missionary Society, Trinity Senior Choir, Mother of the Church, Vice-President of the Usher Board, Sunday school teacher, and Chapter of the Eastern Star #265.
She was married to the late Vincent McCrea, Sr. One daughter, Margaret Vincenia McCrea, preceded her in death. She worked in the Williamsburg County School System as a nurse’s aide and later in life she went into business for herself. She was the owner of McKnight Grocery Store for 28 years. In 1995 she operated the Silver Spoon Restaurant. Later she ventured in Three Generations Boutique. Survivors are: her husband, Elder Jesse Eaddy of the home; her children, Debra Bodkin (Indrickson) of Hemingway; Min. Vincent McCrea, II, and Lavern Bryant, both of Kingstree; and Elder Gary Leroy McCrea (Min. Tina) of Stone Mountain, Georgia; one brother, Willie James Barr (Mae) of Ocala, Florida; two sisters, Mary Robinson and Pearl Johnson, both of Baltimore, Maryland; six step-sons, Victor Eaddy (Evette) of Charlotte, North Carolina; Earl Eaddy (Alisha) of Columbia; Reuben Eaddy of Florence; Kenneth Eaddy (Paulette) of Pensacola, Florida; the Rev. Phillip Eaddy (Margurite) of Lawrence, Georgia; and Robert Eaddy (Min. Jackie) of Haverstraw, New York; three step-daughters, Patricia Bettard (Willie), Mary Bull (Oliver), and Vinetta Bufkin, all of Kingstree; seven cousins raised as siblings, Justine Graham (James), Psnov Pressley, Clyde Burroughs (Brenda), Henry Burroughs (Jesse), Heyward Burroughs (Lila Ruth), Eva Mae Washington, and Mary Wilson, six grandchildren; a host of step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one foster grandchild.
