What appears to be the remains of a body discovered in a burned out Andrews home may be tied to a murder/suicide. In the early morning hours of February 24, Williamsburg County Sheriff's deputies discovered the charred remains in a home located at 865 Sleepy Prong Road, Andrews. Williamsburg County deputies were initially searching for a subject next door per a request from Georgetown County Sheriff's Office. During their search, the deputies went to the burned home where they discovered the body. According to Williamsburg County Sheriff Michael Johnson, a note left behind by Georgetown County resident Rory Norman Bates, an apparent suicide victim, instigated the investigation. Information was not available from Georgetown County Sheriff's Office. At time of press, information was limited and an autopsy was being conducted.
