BUSTER SHAW, SALTERS

Funeral services for Buster Shaw, conducted by the Rev. Francis Mitchell, were held Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home.

Mr. Shaw died Friday, November 2, 2012, in Florence. He was born September 3, 1930, in Salters, the son of the late Gina and Wesley Shaw. He attended St. Luke United Methodist Church. He also attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He began his career as a farmer at Scott’s Wood Plantation. He later moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he worked and retired from Bonitz Installation Company. He was married to Alberta McCray. Two sons, James and Clayman Shaw, preceded him in death.

Survivors are: four children, Harry Shaw (Thelma) of Salters; Roosevelt Shaw of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Norman and Virgie Lee Shaw, both of Andrews; and seven grandchildren.
