Buford Richardson, 89, died Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the home of her niece in Summerville. Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery, directed by Williamsburg Funeral Home. Miss Richardson was born in Salters, a daughter of the late Frank Lee and Frankie Earl Cook Richardson. She was a graduate of Kingstree High School and the University of South Carolina, and taught in the Georgetown Elementary School for several years. Later she served as a postal clerk and then postmaster of the Salters Post Office. After retiring from the postal service, she returned to teaching in Williamsburg County for several years. She was a member of Union Presbyterian Church. Survivors are: two sisters, Wilhelmina R. Grist of Summerville; and Elizabeth R. Wilburn of Kingstree; and nieces and nephews.
