ANNA NELSON, KINGSTREE

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Mae “Bunny” Nelson, conducted by Elder Billy Wright, were held Monday, April 30, 2012, at Clauddie Henryhand Memorial Chapel of Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Crossroad Cemetery of Kingstree. Mrs. Nelson died Thursday, April 26, 2012. She was born February 12, 1951, in Greeleyville, a daughter of the late Charlie and Mamie L. Chatman. She was educated in the public schools of Williamsburg County. She was a member of Black River Missionary Church, where she served on the Usher Board for many years. She was employed by Kingstree Dry Cleaners. She also was employed by Oxford of Kingstree and Tupperware of Hemingway for many years. She was married to the late James Nelson, Jr. Survivors are: two daughters, Janie Epps and La’Tonia Nelson, both of Kingstree; two sons, James Nelson, III, of Salters; and Dewayne Nelson of Kingstree; her mother-in-law, Evernetha Bannister of Ridgeville; one sister, Pearl Barlow (Anthony) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two brothers, Charlie Chatman (Forestine) of Long Island, New York; and Eddie Chatman of Greeleyville; one stepsister, Mary Alice Williams of Kingstree; and 12 grandchildren.
